The Berkeley Reimagines In-Suite Dining with Summerill & Bishop
The Berkeley has announced a new collaboration with British table linen house Summerill & Bishop, designed to bring an elevated approach to in-suite dining this summer.
The Art of Entertaining at The Berkeley allows guests staying in the hotel’s suites to create a full dinner party setting within their own space, combining a dedicated dining menu with a curated tablescape.

The collaboration centres on five seasonal tablecloth designs created exclusively for suite guests at The Berkeley. The designs reference the hotel’s Knightsbridge setting, from green and white stripes inspired by nearby Royal Parks to floral motifs that reflect the hotel’s connection with floristry.
A Berkeley Butler will serve from a specially created menu, with dishes including burrata with broad beans and pistachios, asparagus with toasted hazelnuts and salt-crusted wild seabass. Seasonal cocktails will also be served in jugs, adding to the occasion of British summer dining.
What makes the collaboration interesting is the shift away from the conventional idea of room service. This is not just about food being delivered to a suite. It is a conscious attempt to turn private dining into a hosted occasion, with atmosphere, setting and service treated as one experience.
For London’s luxury hotels, where suites are increasingly expected to function as private residences as much as bedrooms, this feels like the correct evolution. The best in-suite dining should not feel like a compromise against the restaurant downstairs. With this collaboration, it should feel like another reason to stay in and dine well.
The Berkeley x Summerill & Bishop The Art of Entertaining service is available across all suites at The Berkeley from 25 June 2026.
